I've probably watched the scene where he returns her necklace fifty times on youtube. And I just want to cry every time. I love this and I love Damon/Elena like it's my job (would that it were!). I want Elena to remember so badly. I think that Damon and Stefan both love Elena but I think that Damon needs Elena more than Stefan does. And Ian Somerhalder is so full of pretty... Sorry, his pretty distracted me. Anyway, I love the glimpse into Elena's head you've given here. It feels very true and I really hope this thing resurfaces on the show...
